The application is HIPAA-compliant, according to the company. The federal HIPAA Law (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) has created a national set of standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient’s consent or knowledge in today’s tech-savvy world, where information is so easily circulated electronically.
